Last Cars News Blog: Beauty and the Creep: Flavio Briatore and his Supermodel Girlfriends

The man in the picture above has been romantically linked with some of the world’s most beautiful women; supermodels, perfect forms of sexuality… that guy in the picture. Yes he’s incredibly rich, but it’s still mind-boggling, until you realize that he’s also a creep. And women love rich creeps.

His name is Flavio Briatore, and he’s the manager of Benetton’s Formula 1 team, the co-founder of Bennetton, an international playboy extraordinaire, and a shady freak. He was involved in all sorts of strange dealings before he got hooked up with Luciano Benetton and somehow got his name in the history books as a “co-founder”. He was actually convicted of fraud in Italy back in the day, but he fled to the Virgin Islands and waited it out, living the good life there for a while.

But Briatore is more than just a bizarre looking shady dealer, he’s a danger to Formula 1 racing.

“The people in charge (of Formula 1) should be businessmen, as they are in Hollywood, not ex-engineers. Nothing costs more, and delivers less entertainment, than hidden technology. And that’s what engineers love most of all.”
Briatore has been outspoken about wanting more ‘entertainment’ in Formula 1, even though every so often, he completely loses interest in the sport and quits his position, only to come back a few months later and pretend to love it again.

Here’s the deal Flavio, if you want to make more money and ‘deliver more entertainment’, then go to Hollywood, or get involved in NASCAR, but don’t try to dumb down Formula 1 just because you don’t understand the complexities of the sport.
